Draft rankings

I was thinking the other day and the thought crossed my mind, what makes a good blog? When you think about it what really makes a blog great is click bait titles and slideshows. So i thought about it and I should probably do the draft ratings in 12 separate posts. Really get the page views up, right. Well, I am way to lazy to be a great blog writer, someone who wants to break in journalism could demonstrate some ambition and produce some fake news with slide shows. One other thing before I go into the rankings. Week 2 and week 3 I have an absurd amount of arbitration to go that week, (32 and 26) so it would be great if someone would volunteer to do a recap of the week for those two weeks. You can do your own thing with the style of the recap. Remember it is only 1 week for 2 people or 1 person for 2 weeks so you don't have to be super creative to pull it off. Since it was such a hassle to get someone to call Chris during the draft I have no doubt that no one will volunteer but I have hope that I am wrong.

Here are my rankings of teams after the draft, remember injuries happen every year so a great waiver wire pickups can save a roster.

12. Chris- The WR are good but I am not sure he has a RB that is going to start this year, Crowell might but does anyone expect the jets to be good. If Rodgers gets hurt this team could be on a one way track to the raffle.
11.  Dan- is the reason Dan's team rates so low because it has 4 current or ex bills players on it, yes. In terms on talent in the starting lineup it could be a top team but if Captain Kirk doesn't like the cold in the twin cities this roster could be in big trouble. Btw, I believe in Kirk, to at least not bust. Okay, it's really just picking Coleman.
10. Ryan- I hope this roster is better than what I am rating it as. The issue is Jeffery, the shoulder may keep him out a few weeks and with the lack of depth on this team those weeks he misses could be too much to overcome. I hope he plays though.
9. Roger- For not having his first two picks and wasting an early one on Tom Brady his team is surprisingly good. Penny and Mckinnon are both players that could have breakout years or you know have there jobs taken from them by week 4.
8. Steve- The defending champ had a solid draft except for trying to draft T. Hill twice after drafting him. Barkley, Collins and Drake all have a super high upside that could push this team up the season rankings if they live up to their potenitals, they also have low floors.
7. Connor- Just imagine if this team had Fournate on it instead of Ronald Jones, which is the trade Connor essentially made plus a second player on Ronald Jones level. Maybe Jones has a huge rookie year but it probably won't match a healthy Fournate.
6. Doug-Maybe I should rate Doug lower but I like Alex Smith in Washington, I actually thing he could have a very good season there. The key player is Henry if he is a stud this is a good team if he is not this is a run of the mill team.
5. Alex- I love how boom or bust this team could be Hill, Smith-Schuster and Newton are all players that could have great weeks. Bell and the very average Ajayi should give it a good floor to balance out the variance of the other three players.
4. Matt- Jimmy G could have a huge year, think Matt Ryan of two years ago. Kamara could establish himself as a true workhorse while Ingram is out. The worry is Green being brought down by the completely average Dalton, why is Lewis the guy leading the bengals on the sidelines again?
3. Brendan- Am i still made you stole Freeman right from under my nose, yes, yes I am, I also think that Robinson will bounce back in Chicago and Julio is Julio.
2. Frank-I am not going to compliment myself to much but super happy I got my favorite player Zach Ertz as well as Matt Stafford. The lions look like they added some talent on that line so this could be the year Stafford is the number 1 QB, okay I am dreaming a but to much with that.
1. Rich- Okay, Rich could have gone home after the first two rounds and he would have been the favorite but remember the year Roger had 5 first round picks and still didn't make the playoffs. I remember that too.

Thoughts or discussion post them below.

Docs to help with the draft

Hey guys so I am putting some documents together to help make keeping track of the draft easier for me so I can upload the rosters.
The first one is just a page to fill out the rosters as picks are made. It might be easier to keep track of your team as well.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ymF4hDZDqrlCzvPqWnxOp9GlQ1yuxZ_n748b7QpQIuY/edit#gid=548506543.

I recommend printing it out and bringing it with you to the draft.

This document is the draft order with the trades applied. The only thing that may be different is the 4 and 5th round for me and Connor I have not decided if I am going to exercise my option to swap picks or not. Some other things to note Ryan gives up the final first round pick of his championship winning trade with Connor when he acquired David Johnson. Rich has both Roger's first and second rounds making both Connor and Rich having 2 first round picks.

Good luck everyone. There will be more content up in a short period of time.

Also I am looking to trade the 2nd overall pick.

Alex's favorite position group TE

TE rankings
1. Zach Ertz- Did I put him number one just because he caught the game winning TD in the Superbowl, yes and there is nothing wrong with that.
2. Gronk- for all the none Eagles fans out there he should be the first TE off the board
3. Travis Kelece- Questions at QB makes him the most questionable of the top three but expect another solid year.
4. Evan Engram- yes he was only the number one option on the Gmen last year because every WR went down with injury but I have confidence in those some receivers to miss time again this year.
5. Delanie Walker- New offense for Mararito should open up the passing game which Walker figures to be a big part of.
6. Jimmy Graham- Could be a huge weapon for the Packers in the red zone, likely to be TD dependent.
7. Greg Olsen- bad break in his foot last year had him thinking about retirement, with the offense going through Mcaffery more and Newton struggles with throwing the ball I see a solid floor but not huge upside
8. Trey Burton- the guy who throw the Philly special could be a major target for Mitch, probably the largest range of outcomes in the position.
9. Kyle Rudolph- He is the average TE in football, when you draft him you know what you are getting.
10.Jack Doyle- if Andrew Luck plays ton of value here
11. David Njoku- the Browns have lots of talent on offense this year look for the 2nd year TE to get some looks near the goal line
12. Jordan Reed- If Reed could stay healthy he be a top 5 guy but he cannot so pick him and V Davis to get top 5 production
13. Tyler Eifert- the other top TE that can't stay healthy, might be worth a wild card but you odds are he will suffer another back injury
14. Cameron Brate- one of Winstons favorite targets but with Winston suspension he could find himself on the outside looking in as Howard is the higher upside play.
15. Charles Clay- TE are young QBs best friends right?
16. George Kittle- This guy is good but we do not give fantasy points for blocking but when he is catching passing he shows flashes on top 10 play.
17. Jared Cook-is actually not a good receiver and is over drafted every year so this year will be his breakout season.
18.Ben Watson- Teaming up with Brees should give him one last good season before he calls it quits.
19. O.J. Howard- If the Bucs cut Watson swap him and brate.
20. Austin Hooper- should have 20 catches on the year since Freemen, Sanu and Julio should be get all of the targets for the Falcons, but no one hates Julio more than Matt Ryan.
21.Eric Ebron- That pick is for Rich and with the rest of the position nothing special or young and unestablished yet at least he can catch the ball.

Some guys to keep an eye on in camp
Ricky Seals Jones
Rico Gathers
Dallas Goedert
Jake Butt
