The NFL is back and fantasy football is in full swing again for now! Someone must have forgotten to tell Chris and my team that season started. Both teams failed to break 80 and should be embarrassed by their week 1 lost. Frank went with a throwback team and started the QB he has had on his roster at some point in every single season we have played fantasy football. Doug picked him one year and almost got kicked out of the league because of it. Just imagine if the guy was good. (Full disclosure Stafford was QB 3 before his back injury last year so yeah he is good) Well the Lions were a let down in week 1 ans there rookie RB dropped a perfect Stafford pass in the end zone that would have won the game (and three other fantasy match-ups for Frank not this one). Rich crushed me by 39 points. He was paced by Josh Allen who had a solid week 1, not finding Diggs.
Doug got his first regular season win in what seems like forever. Good job Doug. He was able to overcome great games from Matt Ryan, Calvin Ridely and JK Dobbins to hold on to the victory. He is probably going to take picture of the box score and put it up on his fridge. Connor on the other hand got 66 points from 3 players and only 22 from the other 5. Numbers like that could have you on the Frank and Chris track pretty quickly.
Riden with Biden was able to pull off a 4 point win over Steve. Brendan got lucky Lindsay suffered a turf toe injury that freed up Gordan in the 2nd half. Melvin likely won't be returning to Brendan's lineup again with a returning Mikes Sanders who didn't play this week because the Eagles coaching staff are idiots. Steve looks to bounce back after the tough lost.
Dan took the tough lost this week against Ryan because well AJ Brown and Bell both had a disappointing 4 points and Bell sees himself heading to the IR with a hamstring injury. The rest of Dan's team preformed well. Just not well enough to overcome McCaffrey and Mahomes. That Duo and some 4th down magic by Metcalf put Ryan over the top.
Roger took the hard L scoring 105 points in defeat. Alex thinks that Roger's team is much improved this year. Well maybe they are but really that is a low bar as no one remembers the last time Roger team was over .500. Matt had great performances from Jacobs and Murray as he was the top scorer of the week.
Things that went right for Chris this week... Watson scored 20 points and Rodgers scored 30. Unfortunately you can only play 1 QB and he played Watson. Crowder for his one good game of the year was also on his bench so that is not good. The good news I guess is that Thomas is not out for the year with his ankle injury. It looks like it is going to be a long year for Chris
Obviously I am predicting I rebound and win the championship with Doug coming in 2nd, Matt 3rd and Dan 4th. Why I am I predicting Ryan not to be in the top 4 well simply because over the past couple years he has shown that he mismanges talent and unless he gets gifted a Stud RB late his roster depth is going to kill him. If I don't turn it around than move everyone up 1 and put Steve in 4th.
