Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

After jumping out to a 50 point lead it looked like I had the championship wrapped up. Nope Connor did not understand he was supposed to give up and score 0 points this week. He was able to put up an impressive 114 points this week. I had a wimpy 82. Only able to make up 32 points Connor fell by 18. It was a good try Connor but just like the Eagles in there pursuit of the NFC east title I would not be denied.

Back in 2015 after Rich won the championship I decided to embark on a 4 year plan with the goal of winning back to back to back championships as Steve had denied me that me that opportunity in 2013 by knocking me out in the semi-finals on his way to the championship. Well this year marked the end of that plan and while many would look at 2 championships and a runner up in a 3 year span as a success, it was not the goal I set out for myself. Again it was Steve who was able to prevent my 3-peat with his second title win. Next year best of luck to all you idiots trying to stop me from winning a 6th.

Like every year I will be hosting the end of the year celebration AC pre-party at my house, Friday January 24th. Atlantic City for the 25th. Let me know if you can make it.

Also for the draft thinking either Poconas for whitewater rafting and paintball or Boston. The Hilton head condo did not have any August availability.

Also go follow my other blog: https://moviesballandque.blogspot.com/

There will be lots of content in the off-season for fantasy and other fun things.

I may write another recap for the season after I am done my pro bono case.

Thanks guys I had a lot of fun this year.

Back in the Championship

First congrats to Steve and Chris. Both of you had good teams but you just could not get over the last hump, better luck next year. Now to the people that are in the championship again, Me and Connor for back to back years, wow maybe the rest of you really suck. Well that is nothing that we already didn't know so I'll carry on. Now the great thing about Connor playing me in the championship is that it creates a great narrative since I defeated him last year and now he can redeem himself before he gets married this year. What a story line. My mom actually suggested letting Connor win because it would be nice. Its going to be an awkward Christmas in the Brennan family. I mean I guess she is right and since I like to think of myself as the villain and at some time the villain has to lose, right we all saw Endgame. So as always the championship is the next two weeks total score. I'll throw something up on facebook about how I am playing for charity but I am assuming when I beat you Connor you want a donation to dayton Habitat. Other than that good luck.

The rest if you January 25th AC, your invited to the Brennan house on the 24th for board games. Let me know.

Yeah this is a bit of a lame post but I keep losing my computer and hate writing these things on my phone during lunch.

week 13 and into the playoffs

First things first, I am sorry not get this up yesterday, I went to see Knives out with the cute blonde from the office. No excuse I should have stayed up late to finish this for you. If you say hey what about tuesday well I was working on this. The pictures took longer to get in place than they should have. So here we are during my lunch break and I am getting something up for you guys.

First Congrats to everyone who won a game this year. That makes you significantly better than Doug. I don't know how it happened with the WR play you got most of the season but it did. Sorry you suck so much at fantasy football.

Next is the major colaspe by Rich needing to win 2 of his last 4 games to make the playoffs he scored 67, 87, 45, and 55 points. The last week Steve only scored 83 points. Boy Rich your team sucked at the end. Doug would have beat you 3 times during that span and he didn't win a game all year. You should be ashamed of yourself. Think long and hard about your failures this off season.

First person I want to congratulate on making the playoffs is Steve. Steve made the playoffs on the strength of his draft and is one of the few players left who starting RBs and WRs are the first ones he drafted. Great job with nailing your draft.

The second person is Connor. You would have been first but you took that L to Roger at the end and even through you have the league tiebreaker I am listing you second. Hopefully that CMC train keeps going because that is all you have working for you, outside of Houston.

The Third person would be myself but I am going to skip that cause I am not vain enough to mention my success and how this marks my 3rd straight division title because I know only one title matters and that is the championship so while some of you fight for king in the north some of us have our eyes on bigger prizes.

The fourth person is Chris, congrats you won a division with a guy a person people refuse to trade with and Roger... Good luck to as the Packers season gets colder and may Rodgers arm stay warm.

The 5th person is Alex. You had a very good season. Surprised many of us with the lack of moves you did during the year it shows you had an objectively excellent draft. Great job you should rub this in Rich's face till next August.

The 6th person is Matt. Despite no one wanting to trade with you and half your team missing a lot of time this year you were some how able to make it into the playoffs. A great job just being good enough to be more often than not being the team that gets the win. Of course I play you this week and if you win it is highly likely I will be looking to take someone else, maybe the office blonde, to the Sixers Pelicans game on the 13th.

Good luck to everyone that made the playoffs, just not when you are playing me.

Also as I do every year now I am donating all my fantasy winnings to charity so if you have a good one for me to consider give it a shout out. Also go follow my other blog linked above.

Week 11: Let's get dangerous

I hope everyone can talk 5 minutes from their Disney Plus watching to give this a look over.

Some quick house keeping AC is going to be January 25th the week after Dan's wedding and week before the superbowl. I am thinking about building a trophy stand with a cool led light display but I currently lack the time since GEICO does not let me do wood working in the office. So we'll see if I get around to that. That's enough of the stuff no one cares about on to the recaps:

Dan must have taken a break from golfing with his Dad, and not helping with the center pieces and invitations because this week his lineup put up a fighting chance. Projected to win up until the 3rd quarter of the Monday night game he fell just short to Rich. 87-89. Rich with the victory has a chance to clinch the division with a win and can move into the 2 seed with wins in the last two weeks. Dan's chance at the playoffs ended this week with the lost officially, realistically they ended around week 5.

Alex kept his playoff hopes alive with an 80-73 victory of Ryan. Ryan had a slim chance to make the playoffs coming into this week but his team get nothing from the RB position as he played a RB who was out for the week. Bright side his benched RB only scored 2 points. So he never really had a chance. Alex also took 0s from two positions but he keeps his playoff hopes open as he is tied for the last playoff spot but on the outside due to tiebreakers. If he pulls off two wins it is likely he makes the playoffs.

The two teams he is tied with faced off last week and it was Brendan knocking Chris down. Chris only managed 64 points with the packers offense even though Bell had one of his best fantasy points of the season. Brendan with the win moved into the last wild card spot by the strength of a tiebreaker but he has the hardest remaining schedule left taking on the Brennan brothers the last two weeks of the season.

Connor and Steve clinched their divisions this week and Connor is in the drivers seat for the number 1 seed with the victory. Connor already did his talking about the win so I am not going to add more about Doug and Alex should be embarrassed by letting Connor win again.

Matt took a commanding lead in his division with the win over the still winless Doug. Will this be the first winless season for a player in our league quite possible. And before any says hey Matt not a real owner, it's really the coin, well Matt has paid league dues every year on time, now stop and think how many of you have paid dues every year on time. Yeah, that makes him as much an owner as everyone else.

The last match up was between the two highest teams of the week. Roger brought his A game but it was not enough to knock me off as I beat him 129-121. Somehow I am the number 1 scoring team in the league but also have the 3rd most points scored against me. Doesn't matter that my fantasy defense is not doing anything because with two wins I clinch the division title and have a shot at a bye week in the playoffs.

Speaking of playoffs here are the possibilities as I see them:

Connor clinched a playoff birth, gets a bye with a win

Steve: Clinched a playoff birth needs 2 wins to clinch a bye

Rich clinches a playoff birth with a win in the next two weeks or 1 loss by two of Alex, Chris and Brendan

Matt clinches a division with a win and a loss by Chris; playoff spot with a win and 1 lose by Alex

Frank Clinches division with 2 wins, clinches a playoff spot with a win and 1 loss by two of Alex, Chris and Brendan

Brendan clinches playoff spot with 2 wins, all other would involve tie breakers

Alex to complicated to Explain

Chris can either win the division with two wins and 2 loses by Matt, or 1 loss by Matt and get the tiebreaker or wild card which is complicated

In honor of my upcoming trip to see Ryan here are my 5 likely destinations to see a football game next year:

5. Pittsburgh- makes the list because we could probably make it a decent trip out there with Alex living there and almost everyone being 6 hours away

4. Boston- slowly becoming friends in or grow up in the Boston area, plus Brendan is there

3. Chicago- Always wanted to go, obviously this would have to be an early game in the season

2.  Charlotte- the air port sucks but it would keep with going to great BBQ states

1. Dallas- think Isabel would hook me up with tickets? also great BBQ places.

Let me know what you think about my choices and maybe read my other blog with it weekly piece on adding rules to turn board games into drinking games.  Soon there will be a page for the games section but the one posted today was a group favorite: Ticket to ride!

Week 10 recap-Told you I was back last week but none of you believed me

Told you guys I be doing recaps again. Wait you missed last weeks, shame on all of you. Ok, I forgive you, find it here.

Alright to the week at hand the spicy senoritas from last week. Oh, you guys don't care about that since Rich embarresed himself tying Roger. Yeah, I understand we all laughed about. Yes, it is funny that Rich took the lead and then on the next play Wilson throw it to Roger's guy and retie the game. I am sure if there was Chinese food around Rich, he would have devoured it fill the sadness in his heart. Come guys, its not Connor, Rich would never waste Chinese. Well with that 67-67 tie Rich remains in first place in his division. (for now...)

Week 9 Recap- I am back and ready to get to it

Alright so I'm back, for better or worst. Doug failed us doing only one recap. The worst part of Doug's failure was it seemed like he had a ton of great ideas. Oh well to bad. No editing under 20 minutes of typing recaps are back. I came back for two reasons. Number one I was watching the game  on Thursday night and thinking: wow, I am not having as much fun doing fantasy football this year despite only having 6 loses across 4 leagues nine weeks in. (Yeah 4 of them are in this league but funny thing is this is the cheapest league and you get tired of being in the championship each year just look at the Warriors. Second I'v just been on such a run of good luck that I felt the karmic winds change on Sunday. I know the exact moment too. Well I'll get to that but first some recaps.

Wait did Doug lose because of that fumble recover for a TD at the end of the game by the Cowboys. Oh my Gosh that guy is having horrible luck, not as bad as Mark Walton who was caught using PEDs the day after his time won for the first time this year. The Dolphins clearly forgot that the Bengels exist and they just can't let the Jets win the next time they play them to get the lose back. Oh back to winless teams like Doug. Wow that really sucks that you lost like that, oh well. The worst part is he can't really blame the points against because both Dan and I have had more points scored against us and we have wins. Let's move on to teams that matter now.

Richie P took down Chris as the Packers offense decided not to show up on Sunday. I feel bad for the kids Chris coaches when the packers lose. Rumor has it makes them do sprints for every point the Packers lose by. Good thing it is not how many the fantasy team loses by because he would have some deaths at practice this week. Rich is riding the Wilson, Evans combo which is killing it. (Reason why my other teams are killing it too (except I normally get a better rb combo Cook, CMC)) This guy could be real dangerous if Barkley ankle holds up and the well if the Giants don't just pack it in and save the beating on this body for next year.

Alex was able to beat a team that on Sunday morning had 6 healthy non bye week players. No I am not talking about Roger's team. Matt was able to pull off getting a complete lineup in, and managed to score more than 80 points, maybe some people should take notes (matchup number 1). Alex through proved to much getting a great performance by Dak and great weeks from Montgomery, and Sanu. Alex looks real dangerous if his Pats receivers keep up the good work.

Connor has the fantasy god that is CMC. I am not going into the ridculous stats the guy has put up facing the hardest rush defense schedule in the league. That Cam Newton injury has unlocked a god mode. Ryan's team almost hit there projected score which when you only score 75 points that means tough times ahead.

Um, why is Roger playing Alshon, the only receiver that is slower than everyone in our fantsy league. I am not kidding the guy can't run anymore. It's questionable if he can still catch too.
Speaking of WR that don't look like they have OBJ, boy did the Browns ruin this guy. He has had what 1 good play all year, of course it was Brendan played me and the idiot Jet would have tacled him when he had the chance I would have won that week but no the Jets have to Jets and out browned the browns.

Now to the moment that we were waiting for since the end of the first block of run on sentences. The moment when I knew that the karmic winds were changing was when the Lions did not run a QB sneak from the 1 inch line to force over time. But you lost by 18 points that would have only be 6 well yes but when it happened I was projected to win still. The damage that followed through was Carson getting stopped twice inside the 5 yard line only for Wilson to throw a TD, Andrews sucking and the Pats D deciding this was the week the opposing team running back would score more than 6 points. It okay because I was honestly worried that things were going to well in my life and something needed to happen. If that and the sixers first loss is the worst of it no big deal.

Maybe next week I kick things off with how I am talking with two spicy senoritas and what the major hold up is with that. Well ESPN gives us horrible power rankings now so I am not going to do that but a quick topic power ranking cause I know this is what Dan really wants.

Top 5 Ava Max songs

1. Sweet but Psycho

2.  So Am I

3. Sweet but Psycho

4. Freaking me out

5. Sweet but Psycho

Quick story, when ever this songs come on the radio I have to listen to the end of it even if it means  being late to an arbitration by a minute or two. I think it was last wednesday through I was listening to the radio and I was already 5 minutes late for work when it came on the radio which of course I had to listen to it in the parking lot. After it came on through the secret sound contest was played so I had to try to win $5000 on a sound I had no clue about so after that I was like 23 minutes late. As I walked into the office a coworker asked if I got hit by the Sweet by Pyscho secret sound combo again and that the managing attorney was looking for me. He was looking for me to congratulate me on the last great win and that if I keep up the good work I will be eligible for a raise above 5%. So yeah that's the story. Hope you had fun reading it and I write to you all next week.

Doug's first recap

With the conclusion of week 1, there is only one thing to say - football is BACK!

And with the start of the season comes the inevitable pain, suffering and agony in the form of another fantasy season.  Few things offer a glimpse at your own mortality than having your picks flounder at your fingertips as your tears drip on to the screen of your phone.  No? Just me? Sorry. But for one of us, their team will have heroes rise, Herculian in their efforts, and earn their place in cerebral hall-of fame for all time (like Jamaal Charles, anyone remember him? The last good RB I’ve had).  Anyways, week 1 gives us our first glimpse into which players will rise to glory or fall into oblivion. Speaking of...

That’s right- my team. In a division battle between teams who picked one after the other in the draft, it is Connor who picks up the victory.  Of course in the year I go against the selection of the running back, it is the one I would have taken who puts in a sensational effort week 1.  Knew it as soon as the pick went in.  It is also unfortunate to play against Watson in week 1, as clearly he will be hurt at some point behind that line (wonder if Tunsil left the gas mask in Miami).  A brutal showing by my Bears players on Thursday was made worse by just the watching of that Thursday night game. Well done to the Dowd Crowd with 2 RBs that look like studs, just now worry about the health of Hill and the previously mentioned Watson.

Next we had two of the Jersey boys facing off, and boy were some QB point left on the bench.  In what may be the shock of the weekend, Frank did not start Matt Stafford with Luck’s retirement (we will miss you Andrew).  Rich correctly picked Wilson over Lamar Jackson, who would have pushed him over the top for the win.  I had told anyone who would listen to me (so really just to myself) that Jackson couldn’t throw and they ran a gimicky offense that teams could pick apart.  Classic dot the opposite of Doug strategy. The boring Seattle RB game of Chris Carson was the high point scorer of the matchup telling you pretty much everything you need to know about it.  First round of the Jug Handle Inn Bowl goes to Frank.

In what should have been the return game of Zeke for Brendan, it was actually Marlon Mack who was the running back to watch.  Although neither were the top scorer in the matchup, as the mountain of a (RB) man Derrick Henry eventually got into top gear to torch the Browns for 30 points.  Wow, another year of watching my former running backs elevate their game in the seasons after I have them.  But at least we can all take solace in the Browns becoming the Browns once again, who would have thought. Anyways, Sanford and Sons need to find a backup kicker for their team or I see a rough future coming.  Stick with what works.

In the game featuring the top scoring team, the Smoking Cutlers were just that.  Ryan’s team scoresheet was littered with TDs, with the frog leading the way. Dan - who starts the defence playing the Saints at the Superdome?  Although, I did find it funny that Dan’s top players are former Bill Sammy Watkins (40) and current Bill John Brown (19).  Better luck with future Bills (unlikely). Anyway, this is a classic early season Ryan performance and it will be interesting to see if he can keep the pace the rest of the season.  Maybe Ryan’s business school friends will do fun things on Thursdays and he forgets to change his lineups during the bye weeks. Who knows.

Speaking of the Superdome, who chooses Kyler Murray in his first start in the NFL over Drew Brees starting at home? Frank, uh, I mean the coin does I guess.  And as long as Melvin Gordon stays out for the coin, things will look positive with Kamara and Ekeler at RB. Unless Antonio Brown’s situation has changed again for the 8,000th time over the past two weeks, it doesn’t look like Rog will get the 1-2 WR punch he was hoping for.  Also, have you seen Antonio Brown’s Cameo birthday video? However, you chose Devonte Freeman for your team, a Falcon, so you had to know your team was cursed from the start.

And in what may be the shock of the week - Alex puts up 127 points for the win against Chris.  Again with the QB selection - Dak over Brady and Matty Ice? What’s the saying with the blind squirel?  So lovely, I am last in the division. Why do bad things happen to good people? Anyways, Chris couldn’t have felt good after the Thursday performance for the Packers and therefore his team, even with the GB W.  Good news is Leveon looks ready to play. Now to get that high-octane Titans Matt LaFleur offense going.

Finally, for next week to continue with writing these I ask which would you rather see: Which marvel character or which soccer team you are?

Make sure to leave a 5 star review, don’t @ me.

A few things on the upcoming draft August 10th

So as we all know the draft is quickly approaching so everyone should be super excited. Due to the fact the South has a horrible school schedule and Roger is a teacher he is getting into Toronto early on Saturday morning. In order to have a decent time in Toronto we are going to also draft early in the morning on Saturday the 10th. I am not sure but if any of you have saw but I updated the league page on ESPN with the date and time of 10am. I want to start by 10 am at the latest. People that are not attending in person I am confident you will contact me with a way you want to draft. Skype in, or call while following my excel sheet like the past is what works best.

That being said the draft is in two weeks so you should have done some research already. We draft early so there are a lot of question marks out there still which I think adds to the fun. Who is going to get the injury that screws them over during the preseason. Well to help you prepare I have put more content up on my blog. Movies Ball and Que. Here is the link to my cheat sheet. It is a pretty detailed list of rankings of the players. Going in this is how I see them. Normally I draft off a sheet of ADP. (average draft position) to figure out when I can't get a guy I have way up the board. Like last year through I am giving you most of my thoughts on players going into so I am not sure if I am going to draft my old way or just use my list.

Here is the link: https://moviesballandque.blogspot.com/2019/07/fantasy-football-cheat-sheet.html

Check it out. It will help you be prepared. There will be more content up on   moviesballandque.blogspot.com  in the near future that may help you during the draft. I am trying to put out as much good content as I can so this year can be on of the most competitive years we have ever had as well as making the draft process go as quickly as possible. I might not sure everything I put on that blog here so go check that one every so often so you don't miss out on something you might find important. Okay great see everyone in Toronto that is going the rest of you losers well your lost, maybe next year.

Game of Thrones Bracket

Hi All,

As some of you know, I've proposed doing a Game of Thrones bracket for the final season (picking who lives, who dies, and who ends up on the Iron Throne). It's based on a game that was trying to get money on Kickstarter, but was stupidly giving everything away for free at the same time... bad business model.

I built a spreadsheet to use to keep everything easier. Each of you has a tab with your name and, if you would like to play, input your guesses in your tab. You don't have to be a big Thrones person to play - much like March Madness, I expect someone with no knowledge to do comparably with someone who's read all the (currently-available) books and watched the show religiously.

There are more detailed rules and scoring inside, but the main points are as follows:

  • Each character can only be selected to die in one episode,
  • Multiple characters can die in a single episode, and
  • "Nobody" is a valid choice.
Best of luck all, and may the gods be with you: the old and the new.

Cheers,
Ryan

One last secret Santa post

I don’t feel as bad posting this super late considering this arrived well after Christmas, but need to do it before I eat all of these bears tonight. Great choice of gifts, an unhealthy amount of sugar to go with a dumb looking gnome for my dumb team. I plan to eat all five pounds of gummy bears tonight, likely will feel as sick as I usually do at the end of another disappointing redskins season.
Side note, 5 weddings this year, two of them being international, prevents me from being able to afford wasting my money in Atlantic City with you all this year. That also means that I won’t be there to crown this year’s champ, and it also means the trophy spends a little extra time with its new gnomey friend under my bed.

Great gift and a great season

Happy Christmahanakwanzica

This cold weather and heavy snow is making me especially appreciative of Richard's thoughtful secret Santa gift. A brand new Hawaiian shirt! I love the deep blue and wild floral pattern. Looking forward to adding this to my rotation come summer!

On another note, each and everyone one of you (except Frank) should be absolutely disgusted with your performance this season. You sat idly by while my while the Wuerly birds, who began 1-4, went on a tear through the league and ended up making it all the way to championship! While at the same time claiming my seat in Winterfell as King of the North! While I may have fallen in the Championship, yet again, I can say this season was a success. It is all up hill from here. You all suck, except Frank.

My Secret Santa Post

First and foremost, let me just say it is embarrassing how long it took me to figure out how to use this thing.  I still don’t see what was wrong with the Facebook group, but nevertheless here I am.

My Secret Santa must celebrate Orthodox Christmas because I got their gift extremely late!  At any rate, my Secret Santa, who I believe is also fat in real life, got me this wine opener! How thoughtful as wine has replaced beer as my go to drink.  Not because I’m a bitch, like Rich, but because I have evolved from a beer guzzling frat boy to a sophisticated wine drinking lawyer.  Just kidding, I am not sophisticated.

For the inaugural opening, I looked for Russian wine (this is Orthodox Christmas after all) however I could not find it.  Determined to find a wine from an Orthodox country my options were Armenia and Bulgaria.  I opted for Bulgaria because it was rated 92 points by Wine Spectator.  That’s I learned Wine Spectator is full of shit!  Merry Orthodox Christmas and happy Orthodox New Year!

Secret Santa: Brendan

I received my Secret Santa on Wednesday, but had a lot going on to post to the group. Well it is finally the weekend and with a bye week for my NFL Team, I have some time to post. My Secret Santa came through with some great Celtics swag. I was in need of some new Celtics apparel as they make another run for the NBA Finals this year. They may have had a slow start, but after another win last night things appear to be taking a turn in the new year. So thank you for the Celtics shirt and sweatshirt, I expect to be wearing them in June to celebrate.

Pancharros is equal to Dan's season

Went to Pacharros today for lunch. It was actually the first time I been to one but I knew it was like a Qdoba. There is a basic expectation that you have about the food when you walk into on of these restaurants. Most of them are essentially the same, well except Moe's gives you free chips with everything, like a lot of chips more than I think I would ever reasonable eat in one sitting and everyone else makes you pay for chips. In a way these restaurants are like fantasy football. You know when the season starts there are going to be certain moments that happen ever year, the close loses because you played the wrong guy, the close win when a guy scores 3 TDs. Your fantasy kicker hitting a 20 point game. That pick you feel extremely confident about at the draft. These moments are like the rice and beans at these places. For the full metaphor your top pick would probably be the meat and making moves in season, either trading or picking guys up the guac. Now like fantasy football you can seemingly make all the right decisions and even not cheap out and pay extra for guac (trading a 4 and 9th for RB mid season) and still end up with something just does not taste right because you started completely wrong by walking into Pancharros instead of Qdoba, or Moe's or Chipotle.

Dan's season was Pancharros, it had so must promise and there was basic assumption of what the experience would look like. That assumption that he would not be the worst team two years in a row was correct but he gave it a run for it at the end of the season. Throughout the year I said Alex had a bipolar season based on the fact Tyreke Hill and Cam either had great weeks or bad weeks, no consistency. Well Dan's team was similar except he would normally score either in the high 60s or low 70s or 95-115 points. The 80-95 range did not existed for Dan. The roller coaster of season with injuries left and right had him tied for the division lead though late in the season. Seeing that Dalvin Cook was likely to never actually play a whole game without and injury and that Frank Gore is actually a fossil, he made the trade to acquire James Connors, at the time the number 2 back in fantasy. Unfortunately for Dan Connors was about to twist an ankle and not play much the rest of the season, but hey that was a really good move you made there. Sensing opportunity and a surplus of receivers he moved Diggs to acquire Jack Doyle, Andrew Luck's favorite TE. Looking at the season Ebron was having and the fact Doyle out targeted Ebron in the two weeks since Dolye's return from injury this looked filling the one gap that remained in his roster. Doyle would suffer a season ending injury a few weeks after the trade.

Despite all this Dan went into the last week of the regular season with a chance to make the playoffs if he could pull off a victory over division rival Ryan Sanford  and he fell flat on his face. Playoffs on the line and he did absolutely. Odell ran his mouth that week about how the giants were going to play spoiler for some team well they spoiled Dan's fantasy season as OBJ had a perfectly average 14 point game when Dan needed a supernova of a game.

The Raffle playoffs was a disaster for Dan as both OBJ and Connors refused to play week after week with injuries and the question was would Dan ever score over 70 points again. Well fortunately for Dan he was able to pick up Jamal Williams, who had a huge week in week 16 that propelled Dan to the victory over Alex .

I think the lesson learned today is Pancharros bad and makes me sick thinking about kind of like the injury luck Dan had this season

What a great season aka I won the championship

I guess congratulations to Connor Dowd for coming in second place. This was the third time Connor came in 2nd place more times than any other member of the league. I am sure Connor thought his luck was changing and that things would finally do his way. I mean he is a stable relationship with a seemingly sane individual and he is moving on from a job with little prospects to a potential career that would allow him to shop some where else other than dollar general. He also had a pretty decent fantasy roster despite making the 2nd stupidest league trade and 3rd worse trade in the history of the world maybe behind Manhattan for some small pox blankets and the well the trade Roger makes every year, but we need to grade everyone on a curve right. Connor was able to overcome his stupidity but it was still not enough to get him over the hump.

Unfortunately for Connor on the Date of Louie's wedding I made him a promise after showing Molly and him the ring I was wearing and that promise was simple, you are not winning one of these. Why Connor, because at the moment of your victory you will always remember that you are at your very core a failure who does not deserve the happiness that you are given in the world. Don't worry Connor you will always have your friends to ripe that happiness away from you!

Now to the winner of the League this year, go Frank! Wait that is me, the proper order was restored as I picked up my 4th title. It was great title run on my part. Well it was mainly luck after the ability to recognize what players are going to have an abundance amount of opportunity. That and lots of luck what got me to this point because even when you have the best team there is one bad week with a couple turned ankles can ruin your season. It was a lot of fun and it was great to win as the 3rd best team even though I finished with the best regular season record. Brendan and Rich both had far superior teams that were done in by injuries to key players down the stretch.

I look forward to getting the trophy back from Steve. I know exactly where it is going to go in my office.

I am going to do seasons in review for each person over the next couple weeks. Alex already has his. Dan is next.

See everyone in Atlantic City on January 26th. well the 25th for everyone that wants to play board games! Happy New Year!
