Recaps while I feel like it

 Alright back for another Fantasy Football season and week 1 we saw some major surprises. I am going to warn everyone now that I am only going to do recaps until they are not fun for me anymore. Like Throwing to Watson is no fun

Now the biggest surprise of week 1 is Roger getting a win. Defeating Connor 86-73. Connor had the misfortune of Baker Mayfield forgetting he can check down to CMC and doesn’t have to throw the ball 30+ yards down field .Maybe he was just trying to show his old team he actually can throw the ball and is better than turning around and handing the ball off to the RB. Well Baker if you want to win in Carolina you give CMC the ball and hope it doesn’t get hurt. Connor was also hurt by the Saints never running the ball. 3 points from his second round pick is not going to get it done. Roger got to enjoy his last second victory for the Saints while they killed his fantasy opponent. Also he was somehow able to hold on to his W with Herbert not throwing to his top two WRs. What a great Sunday. 

Dan was able to defeat Steve, the normal titan of his Division. Josh Allen started his season off strong with 31 points but Mahomes scored 34 trying to will Steve back into contention but with Tee Higgins leaving the game with a concussion and Kyle Pitts unable to get going Steve was not able to make it a competitive game, with the Denver fumbles at the goal just putting the cherry on top.  Shout out to Koo who once again is going to take advantage of Atlanta being unable to score Tds all year. 

The HMS Frankie Pocono seems to have lost it’s anchor just on it’s first voyage. Prescott out, Tony Pollard can’t block and PAckers D is leaving the other team’s best player open all the time. The only good news is Justin Jefferson is still a stud but in future weeks the other teams likely will try covering him. Matt had a good start to the season with Jackson showing that the no new contract is not going to hold him back. Diggs and Jeurdy also contributed good showings to the get the ball moving on his season.

Ryan was unable to consider superbowl hangover diluting Stafford performance as it looked like the Rams were not ready on Tuesday night. Don’t worry they will bounce back strong at some point. Probably this week that they are not playing the best D in football. Rich got a monster debut from Devante Adams who reunited with his old friend Mr. Carr, in Vegas.His old friend Mr. Rodgers did not fare as well.  Hr needed it too because the rest of his receivers did next to nothing this week. 

Alex had the best week that resulted in a lost so he can go on about how unlikely he was and the system was rigged against him. To bad Alex you a loser this week and tied with Connor for the bottom of the division. Doug was able to pull off the Monday night comeback, Needing 20 points from Wilson and Penny he got 24 to pick up the win. WR and TE lead the way for him. Who needs RBs when you get 20, 10, 19, and 18 from your pass catchers. 

In the match up that featured the highest scoring team and the lowest scoring team. I beat Brendan by a lot. 73 points or 22 more than Brendan scored. The number 1 overall pick had a good game but really no one else on his roster did. Don’t worry Rodger will learn that the only two players than can catch are Dillon and Jones and that will turn the season around. On the winning side AJ Brown, JAlen Hurts and Joe Mixon were sufficient for the win with only 1 TD between the 3. Come on Jalen, let’s get some passing TDs next week. Miles already has more TDs than last year. 

That was week 1, Brendan, Ryan, Connor, Alex and Steve’s teams suck right now. You should all overreact and make drastic moves. 

Here are my power rankings based on week 1 (Hint I put you in order of names that I like)

1. HMS Frankie Pocono- feels a bit cheating to name it after somethingI own but i’ll allow it

2. Claymore Country- should have claymore Roman Reigns at clash at the castle like you did Alex 

3. Palantir Diamond hands- at some point the economy will pick up and dilutions will slow down

4. Los Managerios- probably the best theme team as Alex really commits to it

5. Dayton Baby Dadies - Congrats connor but just because you have a baby does not mean you get extra points

6. Fear Boners- the league should really make a comeback

7. Biden’s IRA - Biden is a winner, he got more votes than anyone else you can’t be loser and scoring the least amount of points with that name

8. Sanford and Son Backup kickers- Because I feel like that championship was stolen from me and would have given me a 3 peat which would have been awesome

9. Big Rich Swinggin- I am not sure if you typo your name and it is Swinging or if you are just trying to sound cool.

10. Do Not Diddle Kids- I get leaning into the joke but maybe don’t let it be a joking matter to start with.

11. A Team has no Name- Come on GOT died when season 8 came out, if not season 7. We all need to just move on and pretend it never happened. 

12. I am not rating my team that seems unfair.
