Week 4 and down to 1

Week 4 is in the books and now 1 team is left undefeated. That team is the Philadelphia Eagles, oh and Matt too, but that is unimportant. Eagles are flying high and it was good week for Philly sports. Ben Simmons showed he can’t make free throws, the Phillies clinched a playoff spot. No Wawa were trashed this week. It was a great success.

Now to the stuff you might care about. Since Connor only reads his stuff that’s going last.

In the high flying match up of Dan and Rich, Dan was able to pull out the win with 22 points from the 49ers D. A performance that cost me $10 in another league that gives $10 for the highest scoring team each week, so that was very disappointing. Rich switch from the old Tom Brady and Goff had a great game but it was not enough, partially because Brady kept finding Mike Evans. Tough loss for Rich as he drops to 1-3 on the year.

Ryan in an attempt to save the season put up a good fight before going down to Steve 106-94. Needing a good game from Stafford to pull out the win on Monday he got a Rams line that refused to block. Add in Allen Robinson looking like he doesn’t care and he is lucky he got as many points from Stafford he did. Steve was lead by Higgan who outperformed Chase by 13 points which shifted the match-up in his favor. Is Chase the number 1 in Cincy or is it Higgans? Ryan better hope it is Chase or could be looking at a long rest of the season.

Ryan doesn’t have to worry about being in the gutter through because Los MAnagerious have been giving out wins like they are running an all you can eat buffet, instead of a high class Mexican restaurant. Scoring the least amount of points this week at 79 he went down to Doug and his 131. Basically everyone on Doug’s team did great, including Danny Dimes who was on the bench but it always a surprise when Danny Dimes does well and should be pointed out.

For the first time all year the combo of Jefferson and Samuel played like 1st and 2nd picks at the same time. Unfortunately, the rest of the non Tucker starters played like non-drafted free agents. Roger was boosted by the greatest game of his career by Miles Sanders. Very crucial in the Eagles staying undefeated. THank you Miles!

The only undefeated team Matt took down Connor, who hates CEH now and probably by extension every player from LSU ever. In the battle of the two biggest Norte Dame fans in our league neither had to have their Saturdays ruined this week and had an exciting battle all on Sunday. The 7 point win keeps Matt in the division lead and keeps Roger in 2nd place. If Roger can find his way into a tie for the division it will be the latest he has been in 1st or tied for 1st ever. What sparked this changed, probably just probabilities of a game that is 95% luck playing out in his favor.

In another barn burning Brendan picked up the win over Frank 94-88. This personal sacrifice as well as losing the Columbus open by 4 strokes was all worth it to have the Phillies clinch and not have the longest playoff drought in baseball. My luck ran out when Rich and I won a round of golf at a course 3 hours from us, so that’s fun. Rams offense was both too good and too bad for Gay to delieve the win as he needed 3 50 kicks not 30 yders. Rams D putting 0 also did not help. Oh yeah Connor if you skipped to the end thinking you would just read yours it is actually just above this. Next week I have a bit of a special edition planned.

Thanks everyone and have a great week.
